RidgeMonkey Rock Bottom Crimp & Knot Covers – RidgeMonkey Crimp and Knot Protectors
The RidgeMonkey Rock Bottom Crimp & Knot Covers are protectors enhanced with tungsten powder, designed to cover and safeguard crimped loops, knots, and other carp rig components. The product comes in a refill pack containing 10 pieces mounted on a practical wire applicator.
Tungsten Powder Blend – Maximum Density and Secure Bottom Contact
These covers are made from TPE material with added tungsten powder, providing exceptionally high density in a compact size. The tungsten effectively weights down rig components, improving their contact with the bottom and reducing the rig’s tendency to lift off the lakebed. Additionally, the cover creates an anchor point that can be further weighted with tungsten putty — the paste grips firmly onto the ribbed surface, ensuring maximum adhesion and precise control over weighting.
Streamlined, Tapered Shape – Say Goodbye to Snag Points
The cover’s profile is designed to eliminate any snag points on the rig. The narrow, tapered end with a small hole firmly grips the hooklink, mainline, or Leader.html" class="slowo_link" title="Explain the concept">Leader, stabilizing the cover’s position on the rig. The wider end with a larger hole securely covers crimps, knots, or other rig elements, creating a smooth, neat transition without protruding edges. The streamlined shape significantly reduces the risk of snagging on weeds or other obstacles when retrieving the rig.
Ribbed Surface – Perfect Grip for Tungsten Putty
The outer surface of the cover features distinct ribs that increase the contact area with tungsten putty. This ensures the putty clings firmly to the cover without slipping, even after prolonged time in water. This is especially important when targeting wary fish, where precise weighting and tight rig placement on the bottom directly affect success.
