Site clearing and reconnaissance
A bait boat with GPS is an excellent choice for carp anglers who cast their rigs over longer distances, fish at night, use a fish finder, or want to consistently return to the same spot on the water. GPS makes it easier to precisely deliver rigs and bait, especially when the boat drifts more than 100 meters from the shore, and estimating its position "by eye" becomes increasingly difficult. In this post, we explain when it’s worth paying extra for a bait boat with GPS, when a model without GPS is sufficient, and why combining GPS with a fish finder provides the greatest control over your baiting.
The Boatman Actor Basic is a good, affordable bait boat for carp anglers who want to start delivering rigs without investing several thousand PLN in a more advanced model. Priced at around 1000 PLN, the Boatman bait boat allows you to conveniently deliver your rig and bait on small to medium waters, especially at commercial fisheries. This model does not include GPS or a built-in fish finder, but its simple design makes it an excellent choice as a first bait boat for those looking for a basic, cost-effective, and practical solution.
Bait boat or pontoon – which to choose for carp rig delivery? If you mainly fish at commercial waters or waters without many snags, a bait boat is a better and more convenient choice. It allows you to quickly prepare for fishing, precisely deliver your rig with bait, and in versions equipped with GPS and sonar, it also helps you fish more intelligently.
A pontoon is a better solution for technically challenging waters, where carp may swim into snags after taking the bait, and fighting the fish from the bank can be risky. The ability to approach the fish, position the rig behind an island, or thoroughly check the bottom gives the pontoon an advantage on large and demanding waters.
In the following section, we compare bait boats and pontoons in terms of convenience, precision, transport, venue rules, and safety during the fight.
Recognizing the fishing spot and placing the rig in the chosen water area are essential elements of many carp fishing sessions. On larger and more diverse waters, floating equipment, electronic devices, and accessories used for marking spots are utilized for this purpose. This section of the offer includes products related to the delivery of rigs and bait, moving on the water, and marking important points at the fishing site.
Equipment for delivering rigs and bait
Bait boats enable the transport of rigs and boilies to a selected spot at the fishing site. The category includes basic models, boats equipped with GPS or a fish finder, as well as devices combining both functions. The offer is complemented by accessories, parts, and carrying cases and bags designed for bait boats.
Inflatable boats and electric propulsion
For moving on the water, transporting equipment, and managing the fishing spot, fishing inflatable boats are used. This category includes boats from various manufacturers and accessories designed for them.
The equipment of the floating unit can be supplemented with electric motors, providing propulsion while moving around the fishing spot. This part of the offer focuses on devices intended for use with inflatable boats and other small units used by anglers.
Electronics for fishing spot observation
Fishing fish finders are used to obtain information about depth, bottom structure, and the situation beneath the water surface. The category includes complete devices as well as accessories needed for their installation, power supply, and transport.
Another group of devices consists of underwater cameras, allowing you to get a view of underwater elements of the fishing spot. These products complement the offer of equipment used to observe selected areas of the water body.
Marking selected spots at the fishing site
The marking the fishing spot category includes markers and related accessories. These products allow you to designate specific water areas and complement the equipment used during setting up the spot and working from the inflatable boat.
The Delivery and Fishing Spot Recognition section combines equipment used at various stages of work on the water – from transporting rigs and boilies, through moving with an inflatable boat, to observation and marking selected spots.
