Trakker Bivvy Storage – new cabinets for the carp tent

The Bivvy Storage models were featured among the products presented by us in the Trakker 2026 New Releases series. In this case, what I like most is that Trakker didn’t try to forcefully invent something completely new. They took a solution well known from the outdoor world and adapted it to how multi-day carp sessions really look today.

A home by the water starts with good organization

Just over a decade ago, most of our sessions looked very similar. A small tent, a few bags, a bucket with bait, and the most essential gear. We went to the water primarily to catch fish.

Today, carp fishing looks completely different.

More and more often, we go away for several days, sometimes even a week or two. We bring family, prepare full meals, sometimes work remotely, and charge phones, cameras, and drones.

We no longer spend just a few hours by the water.

In fact, we build our second home.

And every home needs one thing — order.

Over the years, I have realized that good organization of the fishing spot is one of those elements that most strongly affects the comfort of the entire session. It’s not about everything looking perfect and being arranged like in a catalog photo.

It’s about every item having its place.

Especially when you need to quickly find your headlamp, phone, glasses, power bank, or spare leader in the dark. These little details allow us to focus on fishing instead of wondering once again where we put something.

It doesn’t matter whether I’m on a family session, competing in a tournament, or fishing with friends. I always operate similarly.

I like to have everything arranged, organized, and within reach.

Thanks to this, instead of searching for a cup, headlamp, or spare sweatshirt, I can simply enjoy my time by the water.

Why have I been taking a cabinet on longer sessions for years?

When it comes to tent cabinets, I have been using a similar solution since 2020.

When I bought my first camping cabinet from one of the outdoor companies, I thought it would be just a convenient addition. Very quickly, however, it turned out to be one of the most practical elements of my gear.

Since then, it’s hard for me to imagine a longer session without it.

It’s interesting because it’s not gear that immediately sparks great emotions. It doesn’t let you cast further, reel in rigs faster, or find fish.

It just stands in the tent.

Only after a few days do you start to understand how many times a day you use it.

In the social tent, my cabinet primarily serves as a true field kitchen. Each shelf has a specific task. One holds pots and cutlery, another cups and glasses. Next, I store bread, pre-prepared meals, and snacks, and at the very bottom, cleaning supplies.

I use the worktop while preparing food. The stove stands on it, next to a cutting board and the most necessary accessories.

Thanks to this, everything is within reach, and I don’t have to pull out several things from different bags at every meal.

Bivvy Storage XL as a kitchen in the social tent

That’s why I really liked the launch of Trakker Bivvy Storage XL.

This solution was created with larger tents and social tents like the Gazebo PRO in mind, where during multi-day trips, the whole crew’s life quickly starts to unfold.

The large work surface and six spacious shelves allow you to create a functional place for storing gear and preparing meals.

In practice, you can divide the interior exactly as I have done for years: a separate space for dishes, food, snacks, cleaning supplies, and small gear that you want to keep handy all the time.

Thanks to this, the Trakker Gazebo PRO XXL or its smaller brother, the XL model, can serve not only as a shared shelter but also as a much better-organized kitchen and social area of the fishing spot.

For me, this is especially important during family trips and long sessions. When several people use the same space for several days, it quickly becomes clear how much having assigned places for the most frequently used items helps.

A night visit that made me appreciate the closed cabinet even more

During one of the recent family sessions, an incident happened that still makes us smile today.

The first night we hardly slept because there were plenty of bites. So on the second evening, we decided to have a relaxed barbecue.

Unfortunately, just before it started, a sudden storm came over the fishing spot.

We quickly took shelter in the tents and agreed that the barbecue would wait until the next evening. Sausages, bread, and other products were left on the Gazebo worktop because it seemed nothing bad would happen.

However, during the night, our spot was visited by a raccoon well known to the locals.

My wife had left the entrance to the social tent slightly ajar, and that was enough for it.

The uninvited guest had a real barbecue — just without lighting a fire.

All the sausages disappeared, the bread was scattered around the spot, and the biggest amusement was caused by the beer the raccoon also decided to take. Fortunately, it didn’t manage to open it.

Interestingly, the food stored in the closed cabinet remained untouched.

Of course, I don’t treat the cabinet as protection against animals — it wasn’t designed for that. However, this story showed me another practical aspect of a lockable storage space for supplies.

Bivvy Storage XL is not only about keeping the tent tidier. It also allows you to separate food and gear from the rest of the space and maintain much better order during multi-day trips.

Bivvy Storage or Bivvy Storage XL – which model for what?

Not everyone needs as large a cabinet as the Bivvy Storage XL.

I see the smaller Trakker Bivvy Storage in a slightly different role. It works very well in more compact tents like the Tempest Brolly, Tempest RS 100, or RS 150.

I treat this type of solution somewhat like a bedside cabinet.

You can place your phone, glasses, watch, bait boat remote, or power bank on the top. On the shelves, you can organize clothing, towels, a toiletry bag, or boxes with the most frequently used accessories.

Thanks to this, even in the middle of the night, everything is exactly where it should be.

So I wouldn’t say that one model is simply better than the other.

They serve slightly different roles.

If you mainly want to organize things next to your bed, the smaller Bivvy Storage is a more natural choice. However, if you build a larger setup, cook, and spend several days by the water with a few people, the XL version’s possibilities start to make much more sense.

What sets Trakker Bivvy Storage XL apart?

I admit there’s one more thing that makes me very happy.

Trakker didn’t try to forcefully invent something that has been working perfectly in the outdoor world for years.

I have been using a similar solution since 2020 and know how much it simplifies life during long trips. Here, the idea was simply refined to meet the needs of the modern carp angler.

In Bivvy Storage XL, I especially notice:

• a double structure with six shelves providing ample storage space,
• a high worktop that makes meal preparation more comfortable,
• adjustable legs allowing the cabinet to be set more stably on uneven ground,
• use of waterproof material,
• a lockable front that separates stored items,
• a mesh back panel providing ventilation,
• practical pockets on both sides for frequently used small items.

None of these elements alone is revolutionary.

But that’s the point.

In this type of gear, the most important thing is that the whole set of simple solutions works together and saves us a bit of time every day.

Only after a week by the water can you truly appreciate that the worktop is at a comfortable height, the cabinet doesn’t wobble on uneven ground, and the headlamp or cutlery always lie exactly where you left them.

Good organization as part of modern carp fishing

I have the impression that here too, you can clearly see the direction in which Trakker is developing.

The brand has long been associated with quality, durability, and solutions designed with life by the water in mind. Today, it increasingly responds to the needs of European carp anglers who spend much more time on sessions than before.
