Trakker Gazebo PRO XL and XXL – new social tents for 2026

Gazebo PRO XL and XXL are large social tents from Trakker designed for family trips, group sessions, competitions, and extended stays by the water. In my opinion, the XL version will be the best choice for most people: as a social space, it can accommodate several individuals, and as the sole shelter, it can serve as a comfortable fishing tent for two people. The Gazebo PRO XXL offers even more space — you can set up three beds inside and still move around freely.

Both models were featured among the products presented in the Trakker 2026 New Releases series. For me, however, the Gazebo PRO is not just another launch or a larger version of a known tent. It is a response to how modern carp fishing has evolved and what we truly expect today from the time spent by the water.

Gazebo PRO and Changes in Modern Carp Fishing

Over nearly 30 years, carp fishing has changed more than many of us expected. The gear has changed, our expectations have changed, but most importantly, our lives have changed. Today, more often we seek not only big fish by the water but also comfort and quality time spent with family and friends.

That’s exactly why the Gazebo PRO made such a strong impression on me. Not because it is just another new product on the market, but because it perfectly responds to what our fishing really looks like today.

When I started my carp fishing adventure almost 30 years ago, everything looked completely different. The biggest luxury was a sleeping mat and an umbrella. Carp tents, fishing spot setups, and how sessions were organized did not resemble what we deal with today.

Over time, my passion also became my work. Family and children appeared, and there was much less time for spontaneous trips. If I go to the water, I want to combine fishing with time spent with loved ones. I don’t want to choose between pursuing my passion and a shared trip.

What I need is space that allows us to function normally regardless of the weather. Gazebo PRO answers this need. It can be a kitchen, dining area, meeting place, shelter during a downpour, a space for preparing rigs, or the center of the entire fishing spot.

This is not a classic fishing tent intended solely for sleeping. Its role begins where the function of a regular shelter ends.

Gazebo PRO XL or XXL – Which Tent to Choose?

When someone asks me which version to choose — XL or XXL — I never answer immediately. First, I ask about their fishing style.

Do they fish alone? Do they go to the water with family? Do they meet with friends for joint sessions? Or maybe they regularly compete in tournaments and need space for the whole team?

For most people, Trakker Gazebo PRO XL will be fully sufficient. As a social tent, it works well for several people, and as the only shelter, it can serve as a spacious 2-person fishing tent. It then provides a comfortable space for two people and their basic gear.

Trakker Gazebo PRO XXL offers even more space. You can easily set up three beds inside while still leaving room for free movement, meal preparation, and daily functioning. This solution is for those looking for a large carp tent for three people, a family, or a multi-person team.

ModelWho is it suitable for?Main Use
Trakker Gazebo PRO XL for most anglers, couples, and smaller groups social space for several people or comfortable shelter for two
Trakker Gazebo PRO XXL for families, larger groups, and teams competing in tournaments space for three beds plus additional room for daily living

It’s not worth choosing a tent solely based on the rule that bigger always means better. A large structure also means more space needed at the fishing spot and a bigger item to transport.

You need to match the tent to your fishing style, not adjust the entire session to the tent. And that’s when the Gazebo stops being just a shelter. It becomes a place we return to after every trip to the rods.

The choice between Gazebo PRO XL and XXL should depend on the number of people, amount of gear, and how you spend time by the water.

Gazebo PRO with Family and During Competitions

The biggest advantage of a social tent is its versatility. The same structure can serve a completely different function during a family trip than during multi-day carp tournaments.

In both cases, however, it provides something a small sleeping tent cannot: a shared, sheltered space where you can function normally even when the weather turns bad.

Family Session with Gazebo PRO

A few weeks ago, I went to the water with my kids for the first time this year. Two days were beautiful and sunny, but on the third day, the weather completely changed.

Instead of sitting cramped in a small tent, we moved our entire life into the Gazebo. The kids sat at the table with crayons, modeling clay, and stickers, while I could calmly prepare some food and drink coffee, still watching the water.

I sat with a cup of coffee, watching the rain fall, and thought that 20 years ago such a session would have looked completely different. Most likely, we would have spent most of the time cramped in a small shelter or decided to pack up and go home much earlier.

That was the moment I realized that such a tent does not just provide greater comfort. It simply allows you to function normally by the water. Thanks to it, bad weather doesn’t have to mean the end of a family trip.

The Gazebo then becomes a shared room. The kids have their place, adults can prepare meals, and everyone stays together, still involved in what’s happening at the fishing spot.

During a family session, Gazebo PRO can serve as a shared room, kitchen, and shelter during bad weather.

Gazebo PRO During World Carp Classic

I drew similar conclusions during participation in the World Carp Classic. Our team competes with three members, and the social tent quickly became the center of the entire fishing spot.

It’s where we cook, eat, analyze the situation at the lake, plan our next moves, and rest between hours of competition. Each team member has their tasks, but we also need a shared place where we can gather and calmly discuss strategy.

During tournaments lasting three, five, or seven days, good organization of the fishing spot is crucial. The social tent is not a luxury addition then. It becomes the base for the entire team.

Today, I would find it hard to imagine participating in multi-day competitions without such a place. The Gazebo allows separating the sleeping area from the place where we cook, store shared gear, and make important decisions.

This is especially important for a three-person team. Everyone can rest in their own tent, while the Gazebo remains a shared working and social space. In such conditions, you start to appreciate not only the size of the structure but also the height, wide entrance, and freedom of movement inside.

During multi-day tournaments, the social tent becomes the center of the fishing spot – a place for meals, rest, and joint strategy planning.

Features Appreciated Only by the Water

Technical specifications can be read in the catalog. The true value of individual features becomes apparent only during tent setup, sudden weather changes, or daily use over several days.

In the Gazebo PRO, I pay special attention to elements that genuinely facilitate functioning by the water:

  • the ability to set up the structure by one person,
  • an independent canopy protecting the entrance,
  • a higher entrance that makes moving easier,
  • a practical pocket for small gear,
  • a pass-through designed for installing Webasto-type heating,
  • the Skull Cap included in the set.

Each of these elements may initially seem like a minor addition. However, after several days by the water, it turns out that such details decide the comfort of use.

The ability to set up the tent alone is especially important when arriving at the spot solo or when other participants are busy transporting and organizing other gear.

The higher entrance is appreciated after the hundredth trip between the interior and the fishing spot. With a social tent, this movement happens much more often than with a shelter used mainly for sleeping.

The Gazebo PRO structure is designed for quick setup and comfortable use during longer sessions.

Skull Cap and Nitelife Vapour Shield – Comfort in Various Conditions

A huge advantage of the Gazebo PRO is the Skull Cap, which comes with the tent. I’m very glad it’s not an element you have to buy separately.

In a social tent, we often don’t set up a full floor. We want to be able to enter with shoes on, freely move gear, and quickly use the space. However, this way of use promotes condensation.

The Skull Cap creates an additional layer above the tent roof. It helps reduce moisture condensation, improves insulation, and increases comfort during variable weather. This is especially important during long sessions when the interior is intensively used by several people.

The Skull Cap is included with the Gazebo PRO and creates an extra layer above the roof, helping reduce condensation and improve interior insulation.

I view the Nitelife Vapour Shield similarly. For many, its most visible feature will be the impressive LED lighting, but for me, the biggest advantage is improved thermal comfort.

In summer, the additional layer helps reduce interior heating from sunlight. In winter, it helps retain heat better, allowing the heating system to work more efficiently and consume less fuel.

The smaller model is matched with Trakker Nitelife Vapour Shield XL, while the larger structure is complemented by Trakker Nitelife Vapour Shield XXL. Choosing the right variant depends directly on the tent version you have.

The Vapour Shield combines several functions. It helps reduce condensation, improves thermal conditions, and provides even lighting across the large space. This means you don’t have to hang several separate lamps inside or find suitable spots for them.

This is an example of gear whose value is hard to assess just from a product photo. It is most appreciated in the evening while preparing meals, tidying gear, or sitting together in the tent after dark.

The integrated Nitelife Vapour Shield lighting allows even illumination of the large Gazebo PRO space without hanging multiple separate lamps.

Materials and Protection Against Harsh Weather

The materials used also deserve recognition. Waterproofing at the level of 10,000 mm water column, double-taped seams, and a darkened roof panel provide a sense of security even during multi-day rain.

In a social tent, weather resistance is especially important. Much more gear often goes inside than in a regular sleeping tent. We store food, electronics, clothing, kitchen equipment, and belongings of several people there.

Leaks or excessive condensation could therefore affect the functioning of the entire fishing spot, not just the comfort of one person. That’s why material quality and seam protection have real significance in such a structure.

The darkened roof panel improves comfort during sunny days. A large space and high walls are not enough if the interior heats up very quickly. Limiting the amount of light passing through the roof makes using the Gazebo more comfortable even in the middle of the day.

Looking at the quality of workmanship, included equipment, and the number of thoughtful solutions, I believe the Gazebo PRO offers one of the best quality-to-price ratios in its class.

It’s not just about comparing dry specs. The tent’s value becomes visible when it serves simultaneously as a kitchen, dining room, storage, and shared resting place for several days.

Gazebo PRO as a Direction for Trakker’s Development

Looking at Trakker’s development in recent years, I see a path very similar to the changes happening in carp fishing itself. It’s a brand built on British experience that has developed solutions related to material quality, functionality, and as comfortable use of gear as possible over the years.

Materials like Aquatexx, compact structures, and the One Step Ahead philosophy met the demands of British anglers well and helped build the brand’s position over time.

Today, however, carp anglers’ needs are increasingly diverse. Some still look for compact gear for short trips. Others travel with family, organize joint sessions, travel abroad, or regularly compete in multi-day tournaments.

I’m fortunate to talk daily with hundreds of carp anglers, shop owners, sellers, and business partners from all over Poland. We meet at fairs, I visit shops and fishing spots, and above all, I listen to the opinions of people using our gear throughout the season.

It’s from such conversations that the best ideas and development directions arise. Specs can be planned at a desk, but only user experiences show which solutions really help by the water and which remain just well-sounding description elements.

That’s why the Gazebo PRO is more than just another new product for me. It’s proof that Trakker not only creates new solutions but above all listens carefully to the people who later use them.

In my opinion, this is the direction modern carp fishing will develop. Gear should not only help catch more fish but also allow more comfortable and fuller experiences by the water.

Gazebo PRO XL and XXL – Summary

After nearly 30 years by the water, I know one thing: good gear doesn’t automatically make you catch more fish. However, it makes every moment spent on a session more worthwhile.

Gazebo PRO XL will be the right choice for most people needing a social tent for several anglers or a comfortable shelter for two. Gazebo PRO XXL meets the needs of families, larger groups, and teams who want to set up three beds inside while still keeping space for daily living.

Both models provide space to cook, rest, organize gear, and spend time together regardless of the weather. The included Skull Cap helps reduce condensation, while the optional Nitelife Vapour Shield adds an extra layer improving thermal comfort and integrated lighting.

The most important thing is not to choose a tent solely based on its size. You first need to answer how your sessions really look, how much gear you take, and who you usually spend time with by the water.

When there’s less and less time for the hobby, the greatest value becomes the ability to make the most of it. And that’s where I see the most important role of the Gazebo PRO.
