TOP 5 Best Carp Beds 2026

Entry updated: 10.2026

For each model, we indicate the reasoning behind the recommendation and the limitations that are important when making a purchase. The presentation order does not represent rankings from first to fifth place.

How were the recommended carp beds selected?

The models in this comparison were selected by Adam Skrzypek, ROCKWORLD expert. When assessing bedchairs, he considers the mattress construction, its support system, frame design, hinge performance and leg adjustment. His recommendations also take into account weight and dimensions, as a bedchair must suit both the user, the bivvy and the transport method.

The comparison presents the expert's own assessment. Technical specifications apply to the specific variants described below.

Solar SP C-TECH Memory Foam Bedchair MKII – Wide

The Solar SP C-TECH MKII Wide stands out thanks to its combination of a 6 cm Memory Foam mattress and Lay-flat support. The foam layer works together with the mattress support construction, so the whole system is important when assessing comfort.

Six legs are complemented by oval frame and support profiles, as well as Spring-Loc adjustment. Flat-Pac hinges are responsible for folding, while Pac-Away compression straps and a carry handle help prepare the bedchair for transport. The manufacturer states a load capacity of 225 kg+.

The Wide version measures 208 cm in length and 93 cm in width. Height adjustment from 40–52 cm allows the bedchair to be set up to suit the swim.

ROCKWORLD expert opinion:

What I particularly appreciate here is the combination of the thick mattress, its support system and Flat-Pac hinges. When assessing this construction, I also pay attention to the leg layout and frame profile, rather than just the number of legs. Solar is my recommendation for anglers who prioritise comfort during longer sessions and accept a heavier bedchair.

Advantages:

• 6 cm Memory Foam mattress with Lay-flat support.

• Flat-Pac hinges and Pac-Away compression straps.

• Aluminium frame with oval profiles and Spring-Loc leg adjustment.

• 93 cm width.

Limitations: The bedchair weighs 15.45 kg. This weight matters when carrying gear over longer distances, and the Wide version requires checking the available space in your bivvy and car boot.

Avid Carp Benchmark Ultra X Bed

The Benchmark range has been among the bedchair designs highly rated by the ROCKWORLD team for several seasons. In the Ultra X version, the 210 × 90 cm sleeping area and Memory Foam mattress supported by the TLS system stand out, designed to reduce mattress sagging.

The X version has eight LevelTech legs with large feet. Double-pivot CNC hinges help maintain a flat frame and mattress layout. A central compression strap allows the bedchair to be packed with the sleeping bag left on it, making it easier to prepare the setup for the next trip.

ROCKWORLD expert opinion:

I have rated the Benchmark range highly since its earlier generations. These are also bedchairs appreciated by ROCKWORLD sales staff. With the Ultra X, I primarily recommend the combination of a wide sleeping area, a Memory Foam mattress and TLS support. I recommend this version to anglers who need more space and prioritise comfort over low transport weight.

Advantages:

• 210 × 90 cm sleeping area and Memory Foam mattress with TLS support.

• Eight adjustable LevelTech legs and double-pivot CNC hinges.

• Can be folded with the sleeping bag left in place.

Limitations: It weighs 17.2 kg, while its folded dimensions are 80 × 95 × 38 cm. These dimensions should be considered when packing the car before choosing the X version.

Fox Flatliner MF8 Bed Only

The Fox Flatliner MF8 Bed Only stands out with its 60 mm Memory Foam mattress and 225 × 97 cm dimensions. It is the longest model in this top five. The seamless mattress finish in soft fleece, without contoured edges, provides a uniform sleeping surface.

Four pairs of legs provide eight support points. The one-button spring-loaded adjustment mechanism makes it easy to set the height between 43–55 cm. Side tension straps and a pillow attachment complete the features.

ROCKWORLD expert opinion:

In the Flatliner MF8, I particularly value the mattress and convenient leg adjustment. The one-button mechanism is useful when the bedchair is already set up in the bivvy and access to the legs is limited. I recommend this model to carp anglers who need a large sleeping area. The 225 cm length is a strong argument if shorter bedchairs prove insufficient.

Advantages:

• 60 mm Memory Foam mattress with a uniform fleece finish.

• 225 × 97 cm dimensions.

• One-button leg adjustment and side tension system.

Limitations: At 19.5 kg, it is the heaviest model in this comparison. Its long and wide construction must also be matched to the interior of your bivvy.

RidgeMonkey CoZee MFX Bedchair Standard

The RidgeMonkey CoZee MFX Standard enters the comparison as a new addition to the range, distinguished by its removable Memory Foam mattress. Velcro fastening allows the mattress to be separated from the frame, making it easier to access for cleaning and separate drying.

Under the mattress is 600D fabric support, while its finish includes 3D mesh panels. The aluminium frame features reinforced double hinges, six spring-loaded legs with one-touch adjustment and large swivel mud feet. The Standard version with the mattress measures 200 × 90 cm and weighs 13 kg.

ROCKWORLD expert opinion:

What convinced me to highlight the CoZee MFX are the materials and construction: a removable Memory Foam mattress, 600D fabric support and an aluminium frame. Its 13 kg weight with the mattress, the lowest in this top five, is also important. This is my choice for anglers who, alongside comfort, also consider carrying their equipment and the option of cleaning and drying the mattress separately.

Advantages:

• Removable Memory Foam mattress with 3D mesh panels.

• 13 kg weight with the mattress.

• Six independently adjustable legs and swivel mud feet.

Limitations: The 200 cm length may be insufficient for a tall user.

Trakker RLX 8 Leg Bed V2

The Trakker RLX 8 Leg Bed V2 stands out with its adjustable lumbar support along the full length and a 50 mm high-density foam mattress. The manufacturer describes this foam as providing firm, contoured support. The central section of the mattress uses waffle-textured microfleece, with a stronger finish around the edges.

The eight legs with swivel mud feet can be adjusted from 42–57 cm. Double hinges allow the sleeping bag to remain on the bedchair when folding, while two side straps help compress the entire setup. The model measures 205 × 90 cm and weighs approximately 13.95 kg.

ROCKWORLD expert opinion:

With the RLX, I pay particular attention to the adjustable mattress support. I recommend this model to anglers who want to adjust its tension to their individual preferences. It also stands out in this comparison by combining eight legs with a lower weight than the Solar, Avid Carp and Fox models. Double hinges and compression straps complete this construction with solutions useful for frequent packing.

Advantages:

• Adjustable lumbar support and 50 mm high-density foam mattress.

• Eight adjustable legs with swivel mud feet.

• Folds with the sleeping bag left in place and includes two compression straps.

Limitations: The manufacturer states a maximum load capacity of 130 kg under normal use. This limit must be considered regardless of the eight-leg construction.
