Carp Weights
Carp weights are a fundamental element of carp rigs, selected according to the mounting method, fishing technique, and conditions at the fishing spot. In this category, you will find weights for self-hooking rigs, inline models, weights for long casts, bait boat fishing, bottom probing, and line sinking. A properly chosen carp weight affects the effectiveness of hooking, stable rig positioning, and the ability to precisely present the bait in the chosen spot.
Weights for Carp Rigs
In classic carp rigs, carp weights with swivels are most commonly used, which work well in self-hooking setups. A separate group consists of inline carp weights, also known as centric or inline weights — all these names refer to weights through which the line, leadcore, or rig element is threaded. This solution is chosen, among others, for inline rigs and selected carp rig setups.
Carp Weights for Casting and Bait Boating
When fishing at longer distances, the shape of the weight and the way it is guided during the cast are important. Carp casting weights have a design that facilitates sending the rig with a carp rod over a longer distance. Different weights are selected for bait boat carp weights, which are intended for delivering the rig using a bait boat, pontoon, or other floating device. This distinction is important because a different weight works better for long casting, and another for precise bait boat delivery.
Specialist Weights and Materials
The offer also includes weights for bottom probing, used for surveying the fishing spot, and weights for line sinking, also known as backleads, which help guide the line closer to the bottom. Alongside classic lead weights, stone weights, concrete weights, and steel weights are available as alternatives to standard lead models. Complementing this category are carp method feeders, which are weighted carp method feeders used in carp rigs with boilies.
