Types of Method Feeder Cages

Classic method feeder cages have a flat or open design that helps arrange the bait with the portion of the mix. How to Choose Weight, Size, and Attachment System?

A lighter cage works well at shorter distances and in calm water, while a heavier weight helps keep the rig at the chosen distance and in wind or current. Consider not only the weight of the empty feeder but also the weight of the pellet or bait after filling. Choose the size according to the planned portion of the mix, fish activity, and frequency of recasts. The quick-change system is practical when you want to change the weight during fishing without dismantling the entire rig.
