Feeder Braids for Longer Distances

Low Stretch and Clear Bites

Braid transmits the movement of the rig more directly than monofilament, which helps to detect subtle bites at greater distances. A smaller diameter with similar strength reduces the impact of the current, but the material requires careful spooling and a smoothly adjusted drag. Lack of stretch reduces the margin of error during the fight.

Diameter, Color, and End Section Protection

Choose the diameter according to the weight of the feeder, guides, spool capacity, and bottom conditions. A light color makes the line easier to observe, while a subdued color may be less visible on the surface. Check the fishery rules before use. Other lines can be found as feeder monofilaments and braids. For strong casts and abrasion contact, feeder shock leaders can be useful, as they take part of the load and protect the main section.
