The Avid Carp Extremity Ultra-Series Spod Rod is a powerful spod rod designed for long-range and accurate baiting with bait rockets. The high-modulus Toray 30T and 40T carbon blank, fast action and PrecisionFlow Anti-Frap guides help transfer energy efficiently during dynamic casts with a heavy, loaded Rocket.
Toray 30T and 40T blank
The rods are built using high-quality Toray 30T and 40T carbon fibre. The lightweight and responsive construction provides the power reserves required for repeated casting with a Spomb rocket or another bait rocket.
Fast blank for long-range baiting
The fast-taper profile increases tip speed and improves energy transfer during casting. The blank's rapid recovery reduces oscillation after the cast, supporting accuracy and consistency when baiting at long range.
Multi-directional carbon layout
The multi-directional fibre layout increases blank stability under heavy loads. Reduced twisting during the cast helps maintain a straighter rocket trajectory and deliver bait more accurately to the chosen spot.
PrecisionFlow Anti-Frap 50–16 mm guides
The Spod models are fitted with lightweight PrecisionFlow Anti-Frap guides with ceramic inserts in a 50–16 mm configuration. The combination of double-leg and single-leg guide frames reduces the weight of the fittings while retaining the strength required for intensive baiting.
