GURU A-Class 5000 Feeder Reel – reel for heavier feeder setups
The GURU A-Class 5000 Feeder Reel is designed for fishing with heavier feeders at medium and longer distances. Its large spool and 100 cm line retrieve make longer casts and fast retrieval of the setup more efficient.
Larger spool and fast line retrieve
The 65 mm diameter spool allows the line to leave the reel more freely during casting. Combined with a capacity of 150 m of 0.27 mm line, this makes the 5000 model well suited to more powerful feeder rods and heavier feeders.
A 100 cm retrieve per handle turn reduces the time needed to bring the setup back from longer distances. This is particularly useful during competitions, frequent recasting of the feeder, and fishing in deeper swims.
Smooth drag adjustment during the fight
The multi-disc drag with a maximum drag force of 8.5 kg allows the resistance to be adjusted to the line used and the size of the fish. The infinite anti-reverse system reduces handle play, providing an immediate response when tightening the setup and playing fish.
The aluminium handle with a soft T-shaped grip provides a secure hold when working under load. The thick wire bail increases the durability of a component that is heavily used during repeated casts.
A more powerful reel for regular feeder fishing
The lightweight body and rotor help keep the reel weight at 390 g despite its large spool and solid construction. The 5000 model is ideal for commercial fisheries and natural waters when more power than a compact reel is needed, but a dedicated long-distance 6000D model is not required.
