Classic Feeder Baskets
Feeding bait in still water and rivers
The classic basket transports the mix close to the hook and releases it after settling on the bottom. The open mesh works well with loose bait, while designs with limited washout help control the content’s action in the current. The shape and weight distribution affect casting distance, stability, and ease of reeling in.
Basket weight after filling
You need to add the weight of the wet mix to the declared weight. The total mass should be within the safe working range of the rod. For short distances, a lighter model is usually sufficient, while rivers or strong winds require greater stability. Choose the chamber size based on the frequency of casts and the amount of bait. Suitable feeder boilies should leave the basket within the intended time, not only during reeling in.
