Introducing the new Basix series barbless hooks with a universal shape and application that performs well with both sinking and floating baits. Barbless hooks are less invasive regarding the damage to the fish's lips, and it's also much easier for a fish to rid itself of a broken rig with such a hook, which is why many fisheries require their use. The design of the model is very similar to the Wide Gape hooks with an "X" wire gauge, which for many years, has been effective for catching large carp worldwide. However, the Basix Wide Gape differs in that it features an aggressive inward-facing eye angle - this allows the hook to quickly turn in the fish's mouth upon taking the bait, eliminating the need for aligners or shrink tubing, thus saving additional money.
