Groundbait boat
A bait boat is a remote-controlled floating device equipped with transport compartments, designed for precise delivery of bait and carp rigs to a selected spot on the fishing ground. This solution allows for accurate placement of bait and rigs in locations difficult to reach with casting techniques, making it a highly valued tool in modern carp fishing.
Construction and Operation
A typical bait boat uses radio control, enabling smooth maneuvering over various distances. The design includes one or two bait compartments that open at a specific location via a remote control, ensuring high precision in baiting. Many models feature additional holders that allow attaching a carp rig and releasing it separately in the fishing area. Advanced versions, such as a bait boat with GPS, offer the ability to save waypoints on a map and automatically navigate to them, reducing the risk of errors when delivering the rig. Popular options also include a bait boat with a fishfinder or a bait boat with both fishfinder and GPS, allowing for bottom structure examination as well as real-time monitoring of depth and terrain features from the shore via a wireless connection to the fishfinder screen.
Use in Carp Fishing
Bait boats are especially useful on large waters or technically challenging fisheries where casting is difficult and the use of pontoon boats or other floating devices is prohibited. These boats enable spot baiting and high precision thanks to advanced technologies, which is crucial especially when accuracy is very important. Integration with GPS and fishfinder further enhances control and, most importantly, effectiveness in selecting the right spot to place the rig.
