A bite alarm receiver picks up the radio signal from bite alarms positioned by the rods. It alerts you to a bite with sound, light and, in selected models, vibration. This allows the carp angler to monitor their setups even when positioned away from the rods, often at distances of several hundred metres. This category includes receivers sold separately, designed for specific bite alarm models.
Receiver Matched to Bite Alarms
A receiver is not a universal device compatible with every bite alarm. It must work with a specific series or model. Therefore, before purchasing, check whether the receiver is compatible with your bite alarms. A standalone receiver is ideal when building your own system, replacing a receiver or expanding a set consisting of single bite alarms.

Useful Features During a Session
The range of settings depends on the specific model. Receivers may offer volume adjustment, tone selection, silent mode and vibration. LEDs in the appropriate colours help identify which rod has had a bite. In more advanced systems, the receiver can also work with additional devices.
