The PENN Affinity III Spod Longcast is an excellent carp reel designed specifically for spodding, i.e., baiting with bait rockets. Equipped with the best features to serve as long as possible, it also has aesthetics that perfectly match other Affinity III models. The main improvements make this reel stand out in its class, especially when it comes to baiting. The reel has a 5.0:1 gear ratio, giving a line retrieval speed of 120cm per turn. The large oval-shaped handle knob provides additional grip and comfort during fast winding, even with wet hands.

But what really distinguishes this reel is our patented and super-durable CNC Gear system, which is incredibly strong and durable. Thanks to 7 sealed stainless steel ball bearings, it operates very smoothly, even under high load, even after hundreds of casts.

The application of a free oscillation system in combination with a long stroke, shallow and conical spool, creates precise line lay, improving casting performance at long distances. It's worth mentioning that the spool has two sturdy, round, metal line clips, allowing us to mark several points where we intend to bait.
