Corn kernels are perhaps the most commonly used bait for carp and grass carp fishing. Its popularity is due to its low cost and easy digestibility. No one needs convincing that corn is an excellent bait and lure for most carp species, from carps to grass carps...
Our corn is specially selected varieties that produce nice and evenly sized grains, which prove to be excellent as bait and as a lure in most carp fisheries.
Preparation methods:
1) Soak the corn in water and leave for 24-48 hours
2) Heat under cover until boiling. Boil for 60-120 minutes.
2) Set aside to cool - ready to use.
ATTENTION!!!
Please remember that the grains swell during cooking by about 35-50%. For enhanced Flavor and aroma, you may add salt to the corn while cooking.
Tips for the less and more daring:
1) Corn works great when fenugreek is added during cooking!
2) Corn can also be soaked and cooked in milk, giving it a milky-creamy scent.
3) Corn can be cooked with the addition of honey, molasses, Coca-Cola, or vanilla sugar - I most often add honey:)
4) For advanced users of this delicacy, I suggest trying (especially for grass carp) fermented corn!!! It’s prepared similarly to pickled cucumbers!
