SMART ALARM is a wireless PIR motion sensor designed to work with the Fox Mini Micron X receiver, enhancing signaling capabilities at your carp fishing setup.
Compatibility with Fox Mini Micron X receiver – version 1
The first version of SMART ALARM was created to operate with the older generation of Fox Mini Micron X receivers. Please note that not all receivers are identical – version 1 does not work with newer models marked with the IPX5 code (no IPX5 code in the battery compartment, see battery compartment photo in the gallery). Choosing the correct version helps avoid pairing issues and ensures full stability of your bite alarm system.
PIR technology – silent motion detection
The sensor uses Passive Infra Red (PIR) technology, reacting to temperature changes in the environment. This prevents false triggers caused by moving branches or plants during windy conditions.
Detection range and wide angle coverage
SMART ALARM offers a detection range of over 7 meters and a wide 120-degree detection angle. This allows effective monitoring of the area around your fishing spot, bivvy, or gear, regardless of sensor placement.
Signal transmission and unique coding
Each sensor has a unique code that can be assigned to any channel on the receiver. The transmission range exceeds 100 meters under optimal conditions, providing convenience even with widely spaced equipment.
Security features and adjustable sensitivity
The device includes a low battery warning and an anti-theft function activated after switching off. Additionally, adjustable sensitivity allows you to tailor sensor responsiveness to waterside conditions, minimizing false alarms.
Power supply and runtime
SMART ALARM runs on two AA batteries, offering over 100 hours of operation under standard use. This makes it a practical solution for long carp fishing sessions.
