CHARACTERISTICS OF THE FISHERY
- The surface area of the water body is 10 hectares.
- The reservoir is a gravel pit, with depths ranging from 1-4 meters.
- Vegetation is moderately developed.
- There is a large number of submerged humps.
- Species of fish in the reservoir include: carp, grass carp, pike, pikeperch, catfish, bream, and roach.
SAZAN 2008 FISHING COMPETITION REGULATIONS
- The competition is held as a team event at two-person stands, on live fish and in accordance with the "NO KILL" principle.
- Prizes are awarded for places 1-6 and for the biggest fish.
- Sounding is only allowed from the shore.
- The organizer requires participants to have a fish unhooking mat and a large carp landing net, as well as carp sacks for storing caught fish, 1 sack – 1 fish.
- The use of all animal baits is prohibited.
- Each competitor may fish with 2 rods (4 rods per team).
- For the general classification, we count carps and grass carps weighing from 3 kg.
- Fish not subject to classification must be immediately released back into the water.
- All fish are returned to the water after being weighed by the judge.
- Fish must be handled gently and with care.
- Fish subject to classification must be reported to the judge.
- From the time of reporting, the fish must be stored in a carp sack. One fish – one sack. Unhooking should be done on a carp mat.
- A fish hooked before the end signal of the competition must be landed within a maximum of 10 minutes after the end signal.
- The competition is decided by the total weight of the fish caught by individual teams. In the event of a tie, the team with the larger number of fish prevails. If the number of fish is the same, the largest fish by weight caught by the team decides the winner, or the next fish in line.
- Setting up a marker to mark the fishing spot is allowed - one per angler, which means 2 markers per team.
- Fishing is allowed with bottom carp rigs. The use of float fishing methods is prohibited.
- At least one of the team members must be at the stand during the competition.
- If both team members leave the stand, all rigs must be removed from the water.
- Competitors are required to set up their tents in the middle of their stand, no further than 5 meters in either direction from the numbered stake.
- During the competition, competitors may enter the water up to thigh level.
- The rig may be equipped with one hook.
- Baiting is permitted using the hand, throwing tube, slingshot, rocket, pneumatic cannons, and the use of remote-controlled boats and other mechanical-electrical devices for baiting and rig placement is not prohibited.
- Use of floating equipment (boats, pontoons) is prohibited during the competition.
- Team members must cast their rigs, play the fish, and net themselves.
- Playing the fish is only allowed within the boundaries of one's own stand.
- The fish must be played in such a way that it does not come into contact with the lines of neighboring competitors' rigs; otherwise, it may not be counted.
- Any competitor whose rig is tangled by a fish played by a neighboring team may report this to the judge, but is not obliged to do so.
- If one of the competitors withdraws from the competition, then their partner can only fish with two rods and must inform the organizer of this.
- In case of a dispute between teams, the matter should be reported to the organizer or judge, who will resolve the dispute.
- If the rules are not followed, the organizer has the right to disqualify competitors.
- If circumstances arise and suspicions of dishonesty by any team, the organizer has the right to search all their equipment, including their vehicle, and in the event of detecting fraud, to disqualify the team.
- Competitors are obliged to allow organizers to take photos and film them and their fish during the competition.
- During the competition, competitors are completely prohibited from driving vehicles and from the entry of camping trailers unless such a need is reported to the organizer or judge.
- In the event of adverse weather conditions or other sudden events, the organizers may interrupt or end the competition early. In the latter case, the classification will be according to the state at the time of interruption.
- The organizer reserves the right to change the rules just before the competition starts or during the event. Competitors will be immediately informed of any changes to the rules.
- Costs - 200 PLN per team + a fishing fee on licensed waters of 60 PLN per person for the entire competition. The fee includes a warm meal once a day and refreshments at the beginning and end of the competition.
Reporting the catch:
The caught fish must be immediately reported to the judge. Each fish is weighed with a scale provided by the weight judge – otherwise, it will not be counted. The official document is the catch card of the weight judge, which contains:
- the name and surname of the competitor who caught the fish,
- the stand number,
- the date and time of weighing,
- the weight of the catch in grams,
- the species of fish,
- the signature of the competitor.

Competition schedule.
Before the draw for stands, each participant must register and confirm their identity at the competition office. If a team does not register, the organizer has the right to disqualify that team.

13.00 - 14.00 – arrival at the stands.
14.00 -17.00 – preparatory activities (setting up tents, sounding, setting markers.
17.00 - start of the competition.
17.00 Thursday – 10.00 Sunday - duration of the competition.
11.05.2008 - SUNDAY
10.00 - end of the competition.
10.00 - 12.00 - leaving the stands, summarizing results.
13.00 - announcement of results, award ceremony, end of the competition.
