The Spomb X Rod (2026) is a powerful, two-piece spod rod with a 6 lb test curve, designed for long-range baiting with Spomb rockets. The 2026 version is 10% stiffer than the previous Spomb X, increasing blank power, speeding up recovery after casting and helping to achieve greater distances.
Stiffer blank and faster recovery after casting
The new Spomb X is 10% stiffer than the previous generation. The increased stiffness provides more power during dynamic casting and faster tip recovery after the Rocket is released.
Extended handle for greater leverage
The manufacturer has increased the handle length to provide greater leverage during casting. This helps generate higher tip and Spomb rocket speed, which is particularly important when baiting at long range.
Carbon Multidirectional Nanofibre
The blank is made from high-quality carbon fibre with Multidirectional Nanofibre technology and interlayer resin. The construction is also fitted with reinforced carbon spigots, increasing strength in areas particularly stressed during powerful casts.
American Tackle Ti-Forged Air Guides
The rod features American Tackle Ti-Forged Air guides in a 50 to 16 mm configuration. The large 50 mm butt guide is well suited to use with larger spod reels and intensive long-range baiting.
Japanese Shrink Handle and Fuji DPS Reel Seat
The Rouleaux handle is finished with Japanese shrink Wrap, improving grip and helping to reduce rod twist in the hands during powerful casts. An additional 50 mm section of Duplon foam is positioned in front of the reel seat, while the reel itself is secured in a Fuji DPS 18 mm reel seat in a gunsmoke finish.
