Carp olfactory receptors that perceive scent stimuli are very sensitive, which is why a small amount of flavour is enough to tempt them to consume handmade boilies. Often, mass-produced boilies have an excessive concentration, which is not always positively received by fish, so proper dosing of flavour in your mix can significantly influence the end result in terms of the fish caught.
