The Avid Carp EXO 2 RV Storm Cap Wrap is an overwrap designed exclusively for the Avid Carp EXO 2 RV Shelter. It creates an additional protective layer, improves thermal insulation, and reduces condensation during extended sessions.
Overwrap for Avid Carp EXO 2 RV Tent
The Storm Cap Wrap is tailored to fit the two-person EXO 2 RV tent. It is not intended for use with Storm Caps or Extension Caps.
Once installed, it increases the front coverage of the tent by 30 cm. The unfolded dimensions are 150 x 290 x 310 cm.
Additional Thermal Layer
The overwrap creates a double-layer thermal barrier. In cooler conditions, it helps retain heat inside the tent, while in warmer conditions it limits heat penetration.
The extra layer of material significantly reduces condensation. This is especially important during night sessions and when there is a large temperature difference between the tent interior and the environment.
Khaki 10,000 mm Material and Extended Peak
The overwrap is made from Khaki 100% polyester fabric with a waterproof rating of 10,000 mm water column. The extended peak of the Storm Cap Wrap increases front protection of the tent against rain and wind.
The model features two zippered access openings. These allow operation of the rear tent vents without removing the overwrap.
Installation and Set Contents
Installation involves fitting the storm cap poles into the front canopy poles, stretching the fabric over the shelter, and securing it using elastic loops and pegging points. Then, the structure should be tensioned with Storm Poles supplied with the tent.
The set includes a carry bag and strong pegs. When packed, the overwrap measures 80 x 18 x 18 cm and weighs 3.6 kg.
