Fox Horizon X5 Black Rods are the new, enhanced version of the legendary Horizon X5-S series, developed using the latest carbon fiber technologies to deliver even greater power, precision, and reliability. This series is designed specifically for carp anglers who demand maximum performance from their rods both in casting and when fighting large fish.

The blank is made from ultra-high modulus carbon fiber reinforced with Multidirectional Nanofibre technology and Interlaminar Resin, creating a unique combination of lightness, stiffness, and elasticity. The manufacturing process uses multiple layers of thin carbon mats that are electro-bonded during curing. The result is an exceptionally slim and strong blank with excellent responsiveness, which quickly settles after the cast, ensuring long and accurate casts. All push-over joints are additionally reinforced with a layer of carbon, significantly enhancing the rod’s durability.

The Horizon X5 Black series is equipped with American Tackle Delta-Lite guides in a matte black finish – from a large, double-reinforced 50mm starter guide to a 16mm tip guide. This setup allows the line to flow smoothly during casts, reducing the risk of frap-ups and delivering maximum casting distance.

The modern American Tackle DPS 18mm reel seat in matte black perfectly complements the sleek, understated design of the entire series. The butt section is wrapped in Japanese Shrink Wrap, providing a secure grip in all conditions, while the comfortable EVA foregrip above the reel seat enhances handling comfort.
