Zig Rig float essential for fishing at greater depths when the buoyancy of a bug or boilie alone is insufficient to place the bait at the desired depth. When fish are not feeding on the bottom but are moving in the water column or picking up baits from the surface, instead of sitting idly and waiting for a miracle, let's try a different approach and present the bait where the fish are. Fishing in the water column with a Zig Rig setup is a much more active form of carp fishing than simply waiting for a bite. After casting the rig, leave it in place for 20-30 minutes; if nothing happens - change the bait's depth, switch the bait or recast the setup.
