The Speedmaster XTC features the Shimano X-Ship gearing system for maximum efficiency. The strong 4.3:1 gear ratio allows for fast line retrieval of 103cm per handle turn, perfect for long-distance casting. A combination of the Super Slow 5 free oscillation system, Aero Wrap II, and the cold forged AR-C spool results in an excellent reel for long casts. The quick HI-Speed Drag braking system makes it an ideal tool for long-distance surfcasting and specimen hunting. It includes 4 shielded stainless steel bearings plus 1 roller bearing, and a single aluminum handle.
