Avid Carp EXO+ RV Storm Cap Wrap – EXO+ RV Carp Tent Overwrap
The Avid Carp EXO+ RV Storm Cap Wrap is an overwrap designed for the Avid Carp EXO+ RV carp tent, created to enhance protection and improve insulation. It forms an additional layer over the tent, reduces condensation, and increases comfort when using the tent in both cooler and warmer conditions.
Overwrap for Avid Carp EXO+ RV
The Avid Carp EXO+ RV Storm Cap Wrap is compatible exclusively with EXO+ RV Shelter tents. It is not intended for use with Storm Caps or Extension Caps already attached to the tent.
Once fitted, the overwrap increases the front coverage of the tent by 30 cm. Its dimensions when unfolded are 140 x 270 x 230 cm.
Additional Thermal Layer
The overwrap creates a double-layer thermal barrier. In cooler conditions, it helps retain heat inside the tent, while in warmer conditions it limits heat penetration.
The extra layer of material significantly reduces condensation. This is especially important during longer sessions when temperature differences between the tent interior and the environment can cause moisture buildup.
Khaki 10,000 mm Material
The Storm Cap Wrap is made from Khaki 100% polyester fabric with a waterproof rating of 10,000 mm water column. The extended peak increases protection against rain and wind at the front of the tent.
Two zippered access openings allow operation of the rear tent vents even when the overwrap is fitted. This ensures ventilation remains accessible without removing the overwrap.
Installation and Set Contents
The overwrap is installed by securing the storm cap poles into the front canopy poles, stretching the fabric over the shelter, and fastening it with elastic loops and pegging points. Then, the tent should be tensioned using the Storm Poles supplied with the bivvy.
The set includes a carry bag and strong pegs. When packed, the overwrap measures 65 x 18 x 18 cm and weighs 3 kg.
