Its purpose is to create a second, outer protective layer that enhances thermal insulation, reduces condensation, and increases comfort when using the bivvy throughout the year.
Additional Protective Layer and Enhanced Insulation
The cover is made from the same material as the bivvy, with an 8000 mm HH waterproof rating, providing full protection against rain, wind, and moisture. Once fitted, it creates an air gap between the fabrics that acts as natural insulation, retaining heat during chilly nights and limiting heat buildup inside on hot days.
Condensation Reduction and Extra Ventilation
