The Super Wide Gape model features an outturned eye, specifically designed for use with stiff hooklink materials. This hook is ideal for creating rigs such as the Hinged Stiff Rig, Fluorocarbon D-Rig, or the popular Chod Rig. The Super Wide Gape is known for its very wide gape, which ensures a strong hold in the fish's mouth upon penetration, significantly increasing the chance of a successful fight, especially in challenging conditions like weedy venues. The curved hook point serves two purposes - it aids in maintaining a secure grip in the fish's mouth and also minimizes the risk of blunting on hard bottom features like gravel or stones. The hook incorporates the long-standing Arma Point technology and features a matte, non-reflective finish. Made from high-quality, forged vanadium steel XC81, it is exceedingly strong yet lighter than standard carp hooks.
