12V/24V CBC-10 Processor-Controlled Charger
A digital, automatic, processor-controlled charger (rectifier) for all types of 12V/24V gel/AGM/lead-acid batteries. This charger is equipped with a built-in voltmeter that allows for a quick assessment of the charge level of the connected battery. It is an intelligent and fully automatic device, managed by a microprocessor - it shuts off automatically after fully charging the battery and switches to voltage monitoring mode - 100% safe for any battery. Using an intelligent charger does not adversely affect the battery lifespan; in fact, it can extend it! This charger is not only dedicated to high-capacity car batteries but, thanks to various charging programs, it is also suitable for gel batteries, motorcycle batteries, yacht batteries, or smaller-capacity scooter batteries.
The charger includes innovative features such as:
- automatic and reliable control of the battery charge level - after reaching the specified voltage or an automatic decrease in the charging current,
- voltage monitoring after charging completion - automatic resumption of charging if the battery voltage drops,
- the charger mitigates the sulfation of batteries that can occur during charging,
- "winter" mode - ensures full and efficient charging of the battery, even in very low ambient temperatures,
- "reactivation/reanimation" mode - a special charging mode for severely discharged batteries, where the charger applies limited current with single pulses until a safe voltage level is reached, allowing for faster charging - the charger automatically decides when to use this mode,
- detachable cable equipped with a quick SAE connector, allowing customization of the charger to meet individual needs, standard equipment includes alligator clips and ring terminals,
- charger equipped with a full set of protections against short-circuits, incorrect polarity connection, overheating, overloading, overcharging, etc.
The CBC10 charger is designed for 12V batteries of the gel, lead-acid, AGM, VRLA, VLA, SLA, WET, GEL, and Lead-Acid types. Charging is automatic and multi-stage. The charging mode and the charger's operation are indicated on an illuminated LCD display.
Charging stages:
1) The first stage is to measure the voltage at the battery terminals and determine its type. By pressing the "MODE" button, select the charging mode. The battery's condition is assessed, and reactivation is performed if necessary (only for severely discharged cells) - charging with reduced current in single pulses.
2) The next stage is the main charging - depending on the charging mode 10A/5A/2A.
3) Subsequent stages involve monitoring the charging process - as the voltage on the battery increases, the charging current is reduced.
4) In the final phase of charging, the current is limited to 1.5A - this is an excellent protection against the "gassing" of the battery. After reaching a voltage of 14.4V/14.7V (for 12V batteries), the main charging is complete.
5) The last stage is the voltage monitoring phase - if the charger is left connected to the battery for an extended period and the voltage drops to 12.6V (12V), the charger activates a maintenance charge to prevent further battery discharge.
