Wheel placement - on the market, there are barrows available with both three wheels and a single wheel. When choosing a model with one wheel, it's important to take note of the wheel's placement. A wheel that is far forward is less comfortable than a wheel located centrally under the loading platform. A far-forward wheel only takes on a small portion of the load, which we later feel on our shoulders, whereas a centrally placed wheel under the platform is almost completely burdened by the load.

Amount of loading space - depending on how much gear we take with us to the water, we should match the size of our barrow.
