Fishing Jackets

Fishing jackets for rain, wind and cold sessions

A jacket worn during many hours of rain serves a different purpose than a warm model designed for sessions in colder conditions. That is why this category includes fishing jackets with a variety of designs: from lightweight waterproof models to insulated jackets, winter jackets, extended 3/4-length styles and 3-in-1 solutions with a detachable inner layer. Overhead smocks and reversible jackets are also available.

The range includes carp fishing jackets from Nash, Fox, Korda, Trakker, RidgeMonkey, Prologic, Vass, Aqua Products and other fishing clothing manufacturers. Practical colours used by the water dominate, such as olive, khaki, green and black, as well as camo patterns.

Waterproofing is only the beginning

When choosing a waterproof jacket, it is worth comparing not only the declared waterproof rating, but also the breathability of the material, the protection of seams and zips, and the adjustment system of the hood, cuffs and bottom drawcord. Specifications and features vary between models, so they should be matched to the length of your sessions and the conditions in which the jacket will be used most often.

In colder months, thermal insulation and the ability to reduce heat loss become more important. Winter and insulated jackets perform well during long periods spent in one place, while lighter models provide greater freedom when preparing your swim and moving actively around the fishery.

A carp fishing jacket as part of a layering system

One jacket does not have to provide all the protection against the cold. Depending on the temperature, you can wear a carp fishing hoodie or thermal underwear for anglers underneath, while retaining the option to remove individual layers throughout the day.

Properly selected carp fishing trousers will protect the lower body. If, instead of separate jacket and trousers, you need a complete set for rain or winter conditions, the right choice will be fishing suits.
