Korda Kaizen Platinium Spod Rod
The Kaizen model in the SPOD version complements the series of excellent casting rods, which was created for baiting with bait rockets and exploring the bottom with a Marker. Danny Fairbrass himself was heavily involved in the design of this model, and as we know, he demands a lot from his equipment – the Kaizen Spod had to meet all his requirements, and it did! The rod's blank profile was designed to have a "tip" action, which improves performance, especially when baiting at longer distances. Thanks to this approach, the blank "loads" very well and almost immediately "stops" after the cast, allowing for the delivery of additional portions of bait to the fishing spot, often several meters away. Additionally, the possibility of the rod blank "twisting" has been eliminated, significantly improving accuracy, and as we know, precise baiting impacts the subsequent results in the form of better bites. As for the action of the Kaizen SPOD rod, it is not only dependent on the blank profile – the type of material used is also important. Here, Korda has also risen to the challenge by offering a rod made from the finest Japanese carbon. The ZERO90 carbon fiber is used in two layers and joined with the smallest possible amount of resin, making it incredibly stiff and yet incredibly light – something we will appreciate especially when we need to deliver large amounts of bait to the fishing spot. The Kaizen SPOD rod is fitted with strong but lightweight Sea-Guide TDG guides sized 50mm on the lower section and 16mm on the tip. Additionally, the lightweight yet strong Fuji DPS reel seat enables secure mounting of a large carp reel without fear of any issues during the high stresses caused by casting. The rod's butt is finished entirely with Japanese shrink Wrap material, which not only gives the rod an excellent appearance but also ensures a proper grip, especially on rainy days when hands are wet or when baiting with wet grains or pellets soaked in liquids.
